This weekend me and my dad traveled to Lake Park RC in Tampa Florida for round 3 of the Force Series. 186 entries for the weekend and a long day Saturday of racing.
In Electric with my XB8 16 I struggled all day in qualifying. I had a very fast buggy just had one huge mistake in both rounds that cost me a Amain spot. I started the B main 1st and got wrecked in the first corner and never could recover and winded up 3rd one spot shy of the bump up.
In nitro buggy, the new XB8 17 was dialed all day long. Thanks Mr. Gord for the setup help, it really helped. I qualified 6th in the 25 minute A main with very fast guys. I moved up to 3rd place early in the race and just started turning laps. I knew I had a good enough Buggy to win if I stayed out of trouble.
My dad and Mr. Lewis had a great pit strategy for me only pitting me twice and everyone else stopped 3 times which put me in the lead late in the race with about 3 minutes left. I held on and brought it home for the win. That Series is a tough series to win and I am very thankful for everyone\'s support! I should be sitting first in points after that race.
